On our visit to Hawaii we toured four of the island's Oahu, Maui, Hawaii and Kauai. Our first stop was on the island of Oahu this is the capital of Hawaii and the island with the most entertainment and activities. We stayed on Oahu for seven days and still did not see all the attractions. During our visit to Oahu we stayed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach.
The Royal Hawaiian Hotel a.k.a. Pink Palace, is the oldest hotels on the island and one of the best. The Royal Hawaiian is now owned and operated by the Sheridon Hotel chain it was built in the 1920's, among its many famous visitors was President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Hawaiian has its own shopping center located next to the hotel and towers. The old section is beautifully decorated in antiques. It also has one of the most beautiful ocean views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. I would highly recommend staying at the Hawaiian its service is superior.

One place you should visit on the island of Oahu is the Polynesian Cultural Center located on the north shore. The Cultural center is operated by the Mormon church it is an all day outing. The Cultural Center is a history of the Polynesian people and they're cultural. In the evening they have a luau and the theater has a spectacular show. During the tour of the Cultural Center you have a guide escort who explains each display.

Nestled close to the base of Diamond Head on the island of Oahu, is the beautiful park area which is home to the famous Kodak Hula Show. This fabulous show, performed outdoors not far from beautiful Waikiki Beach, is an historical look at the islands through the beauty of the hula, performed by those who know it best, Hawaiian resident dancers.
Kodak has been associated with this program since 1937, so it's well known to residents, hotel personnel, and tourists. It's located at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu and there's plenty of seating in a bleachered area that holds 2,000 guests per show.
